Shaq Thompson Comments On Reports He Could Be Traded
James Guillory-USA TODAY Sports

At this point in the NFL season, just about everyone is on the trading block for the Carolina Panthers.

The Panthers have already moved Robbie Anderson and star running back Christian McCaffrey.

It would be very surprising if a few more trades involving the Panthers did not go down.

Every Panther player will probably be looking over their shoulder wondering if they are going to be traded next.

One player that could be moved is linebacker, Shaq Thompson.

Thompson has been a part of the Panthers since 2015 and has recorded 390 solo tackles in that timeframe.

Carolina has been the only city he has played for his entire career and it appears he is taking the right approach to all the trade noise.

Any contending team that needs some linebacker depth will be interested in Thompson.

The Panthers can continue to recoup draft picks as they look to rebuild this roster.

Some other players that could be traded on the Carolina defense include Derrick Brown or Brian Burns.

The 1-5 Panthers should be focused on tanking this season and getting the best quarterback in the NFL draft.

This franchise has not had a franchise QB since Cam Newton and they must find one.

With all the trades the Panthers can make, they should be able to accumulate plenty of draft capital.

Also, they will need a new head coach for next season.

This time around it would be smart for the Panthers to hire an offensive coach.

The NFL has turned into an offensive league and with a young QB and an offensive coach, that is a good foundation.

Ultimately, the Carolina Panthers are headed for a rebuild and they should be looking to move some of their top players.
