Seahawks sign Quandre Diggs to three-year, $40 million deal

The Seattle Seahawks are retaining a core member of their defense as they have agreed to terms with safety Quandre Diggs, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.

Diggs, who turned 29 in January, led the team with five interceptions in 2021 before sustaining a broken fibula and dislocated ankle in the final game of the season against the Arizona Cardinals. Teammate Tyler Lockett and other Seattle personnel stayed by Diggs' side during his hospital stay, with Lockett traveling with his teammate to Green Bay while he had surgery.

When asked at the recent NFL combine if Diggs would be ready for the 2022 season, Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll said "I don’t think there is any doubt," according to the Seattle Times.

The Seahawks didn't stop at locking Diggs in and have also resigned defensive tackle Al Woods, his agents told outlets on Monday. Details of that signing have not been made public yet.
