Seahawks players call out Trysten Hill for 'malicious' play that injured Chris Carson

Several Seattle Seahawks have spoken out about defensive tackle Trysten Hill's tackle on running back Chris Carson, calling the play dirty and saying the NFL should take action.

During the Seahawks' win over the Cowboys, Hill appeared to grab and twist Carson's leg. After the game, coach Pete Carroll announced after the game that Carson has sprained his knee, though the running back may be available to play for the team's upcoming game against the Miami Dolphins.

Seahawks linebacker K.J. Wright expressed his anger on Twitter, telling the NFL that "this needs to be addressed ASAP!! Doing dirty dumb malicious s--t like this can end someone’s season! This is clearly intentional and getting fined isn’t enough. I'm all for guys playing hard but I have zero tolerance for this."

Cornerback Quandre Diggs echoed Wright's sentiment, saying that Hill "should've been thrown out" after the play. Carroll was similarly frustrated earlier in the week, telling reporters that he was "pi-sed" about the play. Hill has not publicly addressed the play, but Cowboys coach Mike McCarthy said that he believed Hill was not trying to hurt Carson.

"I don’t think that was his intent," McCarthy said. "I just think he was trying to wrap and roll. Trust me, there was zero intent involved there."

According to Ian Rappoport, the NFL is likely to fine Hill, but he is unlikely to be suspended for the grab. Hill also committed another questionable play later on the same drive, as he delivered a helmet-to-helmet hit on Russell Wilson after he had released the ball.
