San Francisco 49ers receive significant boost in Brandon Aiyuk negotiations from unexpected source

John Lynch reiterated on Monday that the San Francisco 49ers have no intention of parting with Brandon Aiyuk.

Shortly after, a former NFL player close to the Niners' All-Pro wide receiver indicated that Aiyuk has no intention of going anywhere.

Speculation about a potential trade of Aiyuk has continued to swirl despite the clear stance of 49ers general manager Lynch, and emphatic denials of several trade rumors by Aiyuk's agent.

But former NFL wideout T.J. Houshmandzadeh, Aiyuk's personal receiver coach, revealed Aiyuk has no desire to play for another team.

He told 95.7 The Game: "I mean, I've talked to B.A. He don't want to leave San Francisco.

"He just wants to get paid. Just very simple. He just wants to be rewarded for the work that he's put in."

Lynch's latest remarks that he wants Aiyuk to be a Niner for the rest of his career, followed by Houshmandzadeh's claims, point to a resolution that has always seemed the most likely, San Francisco eventually coming to terms on a long-term contract with one of the best receivers in football.

Of course, there remains a chance on draft night on Thursday that the Niners could receive a trade offer that breaks their resolve. But the wind is clearly blowing in the direction of Aiyuk staying with the Niners for a long time, and it will likely take a mind-blowing offer for things to change course.
