Ascending safety Amani Hooker locked up by Tennessee Titans.

Amani Hooker Set To Make $19.5 million Plus $10 million signing bonus.

Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports that the Titans have agreed to a three-year extension with S Amani Hooker that is worth over $33 million. Rapoport also added that Hooker is guaranteed $19.5 million on the deal and will receive a $10 million signing bonus.

A fourth-round selection in 2019, Hooker was entering the fourth and final year of his rookie contract. The extension will have him tied to Tennessee through the 2025 season.

Hooker has developed into a key player on the Titans’ young back end in just three seasons. In 2021, he started 12 games, compiling 62 tackles and one interception. Adding a pick in the playoff loss to the Cincinnati Bengals. He generated four INTs in 2020 in a rotational role.

With five career interceptions, Hooker is tied with Juan Thornhill for the third-most among safeties from the 2019 draft class. Behind only Darnell Savage Jr. (eight) and Taylor Rapp (seven). From 2020 to 2021, only 11 NFL safeties had more interceptions than Hooker.

The Titans now have both their starting safeties locked up to long-term contacts. As they signed star safety Kevin Byard to a five-year deal in 2019.

Locking down Hooker now underscores Tennessee’s faith that the 24-year-old will continue to develop into a top-tier safety.
