NFL defensive lineman Robert Quinn was arrested in South Carolina on Friday, according to TMZ Sports. The Dorchester County law enforcement arrested the former Bears edge rusher at around 8 a.m. when he turned himself in on hit and run, as well as assault, charges.

Quinn allegedly hit multiple cars in the Summerville, South Carolina area, then fled the scene on Tuesday night. Neighbors reported the damaged cars, resulting in Quinn receiving charges of third-degree assault and battery, hit-and-run with property damage, and four counts of leaving the scene after a traffic incident.

On Friday afternoon, the former first-round draft pick out of UNC attended a bond hearing at Summerville Municipal Court. The judge gave him a $155 personal recognizance bond.

According to WCSC, neighbors in the Carrington Chase community, off of Miles Jamison Road, reported they witnessed a driver hit four cars, a gate and a light post.

Quinn actually spoke to several of the witnesses before he drove away.

“He was very belligerent,” Lisa Ball said. “He kept saying, ‘oh, don’t worry about it, I’ll buy you new cars, I’ll buy you new car, let’s go to the dealership.’ I told him to get off my property and he proceeded to put his hands on me and slap me not once but twice.”

Having started his third season with the Bears last season, Quinn ended the 2022 season with the Philadelphia Eagles. The Eagles sent a fourth-round pick to Chicago in exchange for Quinn ahead of their playoff run. He ended up posting two tackles in three postseason games played for Philadelphia after the trade.
