CINCINNATI — Bengals defensive end Joseph Ossai is reportedly doubtful to play in the 2023 season opener after suffering a right high ankle sprain in Saturday's 21-19 loss to Washington. The Enquirer's Kelsey Conway broke the news as Ossai heals up for the rest of the season.
The Texas product suffered the injury on the first drive of the game and is part of a deep Bengals front that'll be cut down on Tuesday.
Ossai had 17 tackles and 3.5 sacks last season across 335 defensive snaps on his way to a 55.3 PFF grade.
