Report: Cowboys DT Trysten Hill out for season with torn ACL

Dallas Cowboys defensive tackle Trysten Hill suffered a torn ACL against the New York Giants on Sunday, according to NFL Network's Tom Pelissero.

Hill suffered the injury while rushing Giants quarterback Daniel Jones. He was carted off with 10:32 remaining in the third quarter.

The 22-year-old was heavily criticized for injuring Seattle Seahawks running back Chris Carson two weeks ago, twisting his leg at the end of a tackle. He was fined $6,522 for his actions. Hill also was fined the same amount for unnecessary roughness after a big hit on Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson.

While Hill did make a legal tackle last week on Cleveland Browns RB Nick Chubb, the running back still suffered an injury.

In five games this season, Hill recorded six solo tackles, one tackle for a loss and three quarterback hits.

The Cowboys were hit particularly hard with injuries on Sunday, most notably at quarterback with Dak Prescott, who suffered a gruesome ankle injury and underwent surgery as a result.
