RB Melvin Gordon Slams 'Bad Situation' With Denver Broncos
Nathan Ray Seebeck-USA TODAY Sports

Running back Melvin Gordon had a tricky situation with the Denver Broncos last year. It was a Murphy’s Law season where everything that could have gone wrong, did go wrong. Gordon is now hoping that he can show he still has it with the Baltimore Ravens. In a recent interview, he slammed the situation in Denver.

RB Melvin Gordon Talks Time With The Denver Broncos

He used the phrase “bad situation” multiple times in his quote.

“I just was in a bad situation. I’m sure there’s a lot of guys over there (in Denver) right now thinking the same thing. People do a lot of dirt-kicking when they’re down and disrespecting their name. There’s just a lot to prove. I’m just in a different color now. Some of those guys get to do it in those jerseys over there in Denver. I’m happy that most of the guys that didn’t have the years that we wanted due to a bad situation got another opportunity to show the world. That’s all you can ask for.”

That type of season is one that can kill careers so the fact that Gordon is getting another chance is very fortunate.

Rebound In Baltimore?

The good news for Gordon is he is a part of one of the best rushing attacks in the NFL over the past decade. Pair that with the threat of Lamar Jackson and Gordon should have no trouble getting opportunities to showcase his talents. The biggest issue that the star running back will have to fix is the fumbling issue. That has been the trait that has caused him to fall out of favor with many head coaches. If he continues to fumble the ball, head coach John Harbaugh might look elsewhere on the roster.

Melvin Gordon is happy that he is no longer with the Denver Broncos. Will he return to form with the Baltimore Ravens or are his best days behind him?
