Randall Cobb is going to have his best season in a half-decade

This season, the Green Bay Packers offense is going to look somewhat different in 2022. All-Pro Davante Adams and speedster Marquez Valdes-Scantling are now with new teams. GM Brian Gutekunst added four new receivers this offseason. Christian Watson, Romeo Doubs, and Samori Toure were added in April's draft. The team also signed free agent Sammy Watkins to a one-year deal earlier this offseason too. These new receivers will need time to get up to speed in Head Coach Matt LaFleur's offense. While quarterback Aaron Rodgers looks to build a connection with each, he is going to rely on a lot on his veterans. His best friend in Randall Cobb is going to get a lot more targets and because of that, he will have his best season in five years.

In his first season back with the Packers after playing in Texas for two years with the Cowboys and Texans, Cobb missed five games due to injury and caught just 28 passes for 375 yards in 2021. However, he had his largest touchdown output in the last six seasons (5). The soon-to-be 12-year veteran was great for the Packers situationally too. For example, on a Thursday night in Week 8 on the road against a much healthier and dangerous opponent in the Arizona Cardinals, Cobb stepped up and caught two touchdowns in the win for a Packers team that was missing it's top three receivers in Davante Adams, Marquez Valdes-Scantling, and Allen Lazard. Cobb has made a decade-long career with the Packers of stepping up in the biggest moments. He will do that again in 2022.

This upcoming season, the Green Bay Packers will have arguably the most complete team that they have had in over a decade. On offense, Rodgers will look to rely on his great friend and reliable slot receiver just like he has for so many years. It is a fair expectation for Cobb to catch over 50 passes for 500-700 yards and at least six touchdowns. All No. 18 needs to cap off an amzing career in Green Bay is a Super Bowl ring. He will have a great shot at that in 2022, and he will be a key figure on that quest.
