Pro Bowl guard Trai Turner '100 percent,' wants to sign with winner

Five-time Pro Bowl offensive guard Trai Turner visited with the Pittsburgh Steelers ahead of the weekend but did not put pen to paper on a contract with that organization.

Per Josh Alper of Pro Football Talk, Turner recently appeared on SiriusXM NFL Radio and said he wants to sign with a franchise that puts him "in the best situation possible to go out and win" and added he will "make a splash sooner than later."

Turner made Pro Bowl squads each season from 2015 through 2019 with the Carolina Panthers but was limited to nine games with the Los Angeles Chargers last year because of a groin injury. He told SiriusXM NFL Radio he's "100%" healthy now.

"Last year was a rough season for me with injuries and just overall COVID" he explained. "You go through things and situations arise, but you work through it and you get through it. So, I’m feeling good. I’m just ready to come back and have a phenomenal season."

Assuming the 28-year-old is past his physical setbacks and can return to the player he was two years ago, he could be a free-agent steal for Pittsburgh or any other would-be contender ahead of preseason action.
