Patrick Mahomes has warning about Ravens

Patrick Mahomes’ Kansas City Chiefs are back in their usual spot – the conference championship game. And there will be a tough opponent waiting for them.

The Chiefs beat the Buffalo Bills on the road at Highmark Stadium, 27-24, in the divisional round of the playoffs on Sunday night. With the win, Kansas City has now advanced to the AFC Championship Game for the sixth straight year, every year that Mahomes has been the team’s starting quarterback.

The difference this season is that the Chiefs will be on the road for the conference championship game. They have to play at the Baltimore Ravens, which Mahomes knows will be a challenge.

During his postgame interview on the field with CBS’ Tracy Wolfson, Mahomes was asked about facing the Ravens next weekend.

“There’s no weakness there,” Mahomes said of the Ravens.

“It’s going to take our best effort. Defense, offense, special teams, they do it all," Mahomes added. "It’s always a great challenge, and that stadium’s gonna be rocking. So we’re excited for the challenge."

Baltimore went 13-4 in the regular season and was the only team in the NFL to post a record better than 12-5. They had a bye for the wild-card round of the playoffs and then demolished the Houston Texans 34-10 in the divisional round on Saturday.

Though the Ravens are a tough team and have “no weakness” according to Mahomes, the Chiefs won’t be an easy team to beat, either, especially after they just proved they can win in a tough road environment.
