Panthers legend Luke Kuechly offers valuable advice to 49ers after Super Bowl 58 loss
Stephen R. Sylvanie-USA TODAY Sports

Former Carolina Panthers linebacker Luke Kuechly knows just how the San Francisco 49ers have been feeling since their narrow loss to the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl 58.

Kuechly came away on the losing end of Super Bowl 50, as the Denver Broncos had the last laugh via a 24-10 win. As was the case with the 49ers on Sunday, the Panthers wasted a multitude of golden opportunities on both sides of the football against the Broncos.

The 49ers did have themselves a season to remember in the 2023 campaign, and Kuechly hopes that every single player on the roster will not forget what they accomplished over the past year.

"There’s always something that these guys are going to be thinking about, and that’s what makes it so difficult, it’s ‘could I have done anything else to help us win?,'" Kuechly said on FanDuel TV’s "Up & Adams" show.

"And that just sits in your stomach, and it’s a pit there, and it’s hard. Like I said, hopefully in time, they get some perspective and understand how special this season was."

The 49ers cruised to both the NFC West title and the No. 1 seed in the NFC this season. They clinched a spot in Super Bowl 58 following back-to-back dramatic playoff wins over the Green Bay Packers and the Detroit Lions.

While the 49ers once again came up short of snapping their Super Bowl drought, history sure will not forget this season’s San Francisco squad.
