Friday afternoon, the Carolina Panthers signed wide receiver Michael Strachan to the active roster and waived cornerback David Long Jr.
Strachan has been on the Panthers' practice squad since September and did make a big splash in his lone catch of the year which was a 45-yarder on Thursday night against the Chicago Bears back in Week 10.
Long Jr. played in three games with the Panthers this season and made one start. He recorded seven tackles on 133 defensive snaps but with the return of C.J. Henderson (concussion), possible return of Jaycee Horn (hamstring), and the recent pickup of Shaquill Griffin off waivers, the Panthers made this move to add more options for Bryce Young in the passing game.
