Packers mock draft aggregator: Who are the players most frequently projected to Green Bay
Trevor Ruszkowski-USA TODAY Sports

It's finally draft day. After weeks (and months if you follow the process closer) of news, rumors, speculation, NFL teams will make their final decisions starting on Thursday, with the first round.

And what will the Green Bay Packers do? We searched top mock drafts around the internet to answer that question. Defensive back Cooper DeJean and offensive line are the most frequent options.

Daniel Jeremiah, NFL Network

DB Cooper DeJean

The Packers have loaded up on defense in recent drafts and they stay at it here. DeJean can play nickel back, outside corner and he could develop into a really good safety, as well.

OT Amarius Mims

While it's possible Rasheed Walker, a seventh-rounder in 2022, could be the long-term replacement for David Bakhtiari at left tackle in Green Bay, I'd take a tackle with upside here. Again, this is the draft in which teams should pursue a first-round tackle.

The 6-8, 340-pound Mims started just eight games in college, but he was excellent when he was on the field. Once he locks into edge rushers, they get swallowed up in his massive wingspan. He didn't allow any sacks in his career. The Packers have an extremely young offense, and Mims would be another pillar to build around.

Dane Brugler, The Athletic

C Jackson Powers-Johnson

There are several ways the Packers can attack the offensive line in the draft. One of those is to select Powers-Johnson, who can provide an upgrade at center and allow Green Bay to keep Zach Tom at tackle while moving Josh Myers to guard.

Albert Breer, Sports Illustrated

DT Jer’Zhan Newton

If he’s recovered from a foot fracture, Newton will give Packer fans a lot to be excited about as an interior pressure player. Newton would be a nice complement to Rashan Gary along the Packers’ defensive front.

DB Cooper DeJean

It's a legitimate toss-up between cornerback and offensive lineman for the Packers, but with the run on tackles hitting in the early 20s here, I think they'd go get the most versatile defensive back in the class. DeJean suffered a broken leg that ended his 2023 season, but his pro day workout answered any questions about his NFL readiness. He can play inside corner, outside corner or safety. The Packers would love his ball skills (seven career picks) in Jeff Hafley's defense.

DB Cooper DeJean

I listed DeJean as a DB, instead of a CB, because of his exceptional versatility. He can run, cover, tackle, catch ... and return punts at an elite level, too. DeJean and All-Pro kick returner Keisean Nixon would give Green Bay extra special teams.

OT Amarius Mims

Great day in the office for GM Brian Gutekunst, who sees one of the highest ceiling players in the entire class fall into his lap—and at a position of need, no less! Mims may not start over Rasheed Walker on the left, but he can compete for it in camp, and he may not start over Zach Tom on the right, but Tom has great positional versatility, so he could bump inside to make room for Mims. Either way, Green Bay’s history of offensive line development is excellent news for the Georgia tackle.

Peter Schrager, NFL Network

DB Cooper DeJean

New defensive coordinator Jeff Hafley gets an elite defender on the back end. DeJean can play any position in the secondary and contribute on special teams. If not to Green Bay, I think he goes somewhere in the 20 to 32 range.

Field Yates, ESPN

OT Amarius Mims

Green Bay does not need a left tackle to line up for a game tomorrow, even without David Bakhtiari on the roster, but finding a potential upgrade over Rasheed Walker is on the team's radar. Mims is a wild card in the first round given he had just 803 career snaps and eight career starts in college, but with light feet and a massive 6-foot-8, 340-pound frame, the sky is the limit. He just might need some time to further develop before becoming a fixture in the starting lineup.

PFF

CB Nate Wiggins

The Packers get a lengthy, athletic outside cornerback to pair with Jaire Alexander in new defensive coordinator Jeff Hafley’s system. Wiggins consistently improved his coverage ability in college, and his combination of size and speed gives the Packers an intimidating duo to challenge on the perimeter.

The 33rd Team

OT Kingsley Suamataia

The biggest reason why Kingsley Suamataia isn't routinely ranked over some of his tackle peers is his height. However, he has the length needed to stay outside, and his game is better than other blockers who have been mocked in this range. He's a terrific athlete who will thrive in Green Bay's ecosystem.

OT Kingsley Suamataia

Green Bay needs a long-term solution at left tackle after the departure of David Bakhtiari. At this point in the draft, they’ll probably be taking an upside swing and Suamataia works in this scenario.

A to Z Sports' mocks

Packers' ultimate seven-round mock

DB Cooper DeJean

Offensive line is probably a bigger need, but Cooper DeJean would be an ideal piece for the Packers. Even though there are question marks about his man coverage ability, he can excel as a zone corner — and even man-heavy teams play more zone nowadays.

Even if he can't be a boundary corner, DeJean would help the Packers as the starting safety alongside Xavier McKinney, eventually also playing as the big nickel. He can also add value as a punt returner.

Mock based on GM tendencies, betting odds, visits, needs, and draft projections

OT Tyler Guyton

Guyton's expected midpoint via most data sources is a bit later. However, the GM tendencies, positional need, and other players who went ahead of this pick forced the model to assume this to be the most ideal. Guyton isn't the most experienced tackle, but when I talked to opposing defenders about who they hated facing most at the Senior Bowl or in actual college games his name came up more than any other. His first step off the ball and ferocious power apparently made him a nightmare for defenses.

A to Z final mock draft

OL Graham Barton

Barton has short arms to play tackle for the Packers, but guard has increased market value, and Green Bay has a huge need there. Barton would probably start from Day 1 as a right guard, giving Jordan Love an even better situation to keep growing.
