Packers LB Quay Walker ejected after shoving member of Lions medical staff

Packers linebacker Quay Walker shoved a member of the Lions medical staff in the fourth quarter of Sunday night's pivotal game and was ejected.

Green Bay lost 20-16 and was thrown out of the playoff field, too.

As a Detroit medical team member attempted to get to Lions RB D'Andre Swift, he placed his hand on Walker's arm to get past him.

Walker retaliated with a shove to his back. Walker's lack of discipline on Sunday was a sign that this Packers team was never built for the big stage.

The Lions medical staff was tending to Swift after defensive lineman Jarran Reed took a play out of the WWE and used a forearm to the head to knock down Swift.

That part of the play went unpenalized.

Walker's shove was made even worse as it came after a week where there was a spotlight on the important and vital work medical professionals do following Damar Hamlin's incident last Monday night.

Adding more infamy to the shove, Sunday wasn't the first time this season Walker's been ejected for getting into an altercation with a member of the opposing team.

In Green Bay's Week 8 loss to Buffalo, he shoved a member of the Bills staff and was ejected.

For a guy in shoulder pads and a helmet, it's a weak move to attack people who aren't in uniform.

Doing it once is bad enough. That it happened twice should bring about tough conversations in Green Bay as the offseason begins.

Walker was rightly blasted on Twitter for his second reckless act of the season.

Walker was drafted 22nd overall in the 2022 NFL Draft. He has a lot of growing to do, and now a long offseason to do it.
