NFL futures: Odds C.J. Stroud will win Offensive Player of the Year

There may not have been a bigger story in Week 10 of the NFL season than the Houston Texans upsetting Joe Burrow and the Cincinnati Bengals. The game has put the spotlight squarely on rookie QB C.J. Stroud, who threw for 356 yards with one TD in the seemingly improbable 30-27 road win.

Stroud's and the Texans' performance even made a few lucky fans some money, as Action Network revealed a bettor who won $5.5 million on a parlay that is considered one of the largest payouts since the Supreme Court opened the door for sports betting to be legalized on a state by state basis in 2018.

So does that mean you should consider putting money on Stroud to win end-of-the-season honors like Rookie of the Year or MVP?

Here are the odds the Texans QB wins.

Over at DraftKings, Stroud is currently the overwhelming -1600 (or 1-160) favorite to be crowned Offensive Rookie of the Year. He is also making a case to be named Offensive Player of the Year even though he is a 100-1 long shot. (Dolphins receiver Tyreek Hill has that category locked down as the 5-4 favorite.)

As far as MVP odds go, Stroud hasn't made the cut — yet. Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes is the betting favorite in that category at DK at 3-1 odds, with Ravens QB Lamar Jackson and Eagles QB Jalen Hurts coming in at 7-2 odds. Burrow, who Stroud successfully beat on Sunday, is listed at 9-1 odds to win league MVP after the conclusion of the regular season.

Suffice it to say, fans will be looking to put money on Stroud in the remaining weeks of the regular season. In fact, they can do that now with the Texans hosting the lowly Arizona Cardinals in Week 11. Houston is already the four-point favorite to win that game, while a parlay for Stroud and Kyler Murray to combine for 600-plus yards is priced at 2-1.

Given how lucrative last week's parlay bet was, Stroud and the Texans could be worth the money.
