Meek Mill dance video latest reason why Colts owner Jim Irsay should stay off social media

It’s been said that social media only reflects an individual’s personal highlight reel — the moments that person wants the world to see.

Apparently, no one has explained this to Indianapolis Colts owner Jim Irsay, whose title as one of the most cringe-worthy owners in the NFL appears to be safe for the foreseeable future.

Following Sunday’s 27-13 win over the Carolina Panthers, Irsay posted an awkwardly uncomfortable video of himself “dancing” to the Meek Mill song “Dreams and Nightmares” in the Colts locker room. The kind that nightmares are made of.

For the first 14 seconds of the video, Irsay is awkwardly holding head coach Shane Steichen’s fingers. The rest of the video is an embarrassing attempt to gambol and fist pump, which resembles that of a child throwing a temper tantrum more than it does any kind of hip-hop dance.

It’s just the latest example of Irsay embarrassing himself to thousands of strangers on the internet.

Irsay found himself in hot water on July 26 after he essentially implied that running backs needed to know their place in the NFL and stop complaining about being paid less than other positions.

He also tweeted a gawkish apology video from the steps of his private jet in January 2022 in which he apologized to Colts fans for allowing “doubt, fear and a lack of faith” slip into the team’s DNA following a 26-11 Week 18 loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars that kept Indy from making the playoffs.

Perhaps someone in the Colts organization should take Irsay’s phone away the next time he feels the urge to share something of questionable nature with his 519,000 followers on X and 8,000 followers on Instagram.
