Le'Veon Bell has one request before retiring a Steeler

RB Le'Veon Bell has finally admitted that he should have never left the Steel City. Although Bell believes his exit from Pittsburgh was "petty," he still wants to retire a Steeler and has one request before doing so.

"I never officially retired," Bell said. "The day when I do retire, it's gonna be with Pittsburgh. Like, I'm trying to retire with Pittsburgh. But before I do that, I might be like, 'Hey, let me get a couple carries in the preseason so I can show you all something.'"

The 31-year-old may believe he still has some left in the tank but it's very doubtful the Steelers would give up a roster spot and valuable carries in the preseason to send Bell off into retirement.

Bell was a part of the "Killer B's" for half a decade (2013-17) in Pittsburgh. If things had not ended the way they did, QB Ben Roethlisberger, WR Antonio Brown and Bell may have gone down as the best QB-RB-WR trio of all time.

He finished with the fourth-most rushing yards (5,336) and third-most rushing touchdowns (35) in franchise history. Bell added an incredible 312 catches for 2,660 yards and seven touchdowns during the five-year span as well.

The relationship came to an end in 2018 when Bell sat out for the entire season. However, it began to have issues in 2017 during contract talks and the Steelers decided to franchise tag Bell.

In 2019, Bell went to the Jets as a free agent. He played on four teams from 2019-21 and had just 1,218 yards and seven touchdowns.

The "Killer B's" era in Pittsburgh is one that will be remembered for a long time, and now with Bell's recent admissions, it will be one having fans ask a lot of what if's about.
