Following the NFL Draft, Pittsburgh is busy making moves in the veteran market again.
Reports of a big move being imminent have been shortsighted by the invite of Anthony Averett to rookie minicamp, per Tom Pelissero of NFL Media:
Veteran CB Anthony Averett will be attending the #Steelers rookie minicamp on a tryout basis. He was on Detroit’s practice squad last season for several weeks and is fully healthy.

Averett most recently played for the Las Vegas Raiders before spending time on the Lions practice squad, but the 29-year-old vet is most noted for his four-year career in Baltimore, where he started 21 games and recorded three interceptions, 22 pass breakups and over 100 tackles.
Averett also has experience playing slot corner or nickelback, a position the Steelers still haven't addressed even though the acquisition phase of the offseason is largely over at this point.
With a tryout on the way, Averett has a long road ahead of him before he makes the team in September, but this is a start.
