Las Vegas Raiders cornerback Jack Jones is contemplating changing his jersey number for 2024 season
Jay Biggerstaff-USA TODAY Sports

Last season, the Las Vegas Raiders took a small risk for what could have been a big reward. And, well, it was a big reward. They signed Jack Jones off of waivers after the New England Patriots released him.

Antonio Pierce had a previous relationship with Jones, as the Raiders head coach had known Jones since he was a kid. They were from the same area, and Pierce coached him in high school and at college.

He came to the Raiders during the middle of the season, fit right in with the culture, and made game-winning plays against both the Los Angeles Chargers and the Kansas City Chiefs. However, now it's time for a change.

Don't worry—he isn't going anywhere anytime soon. The change that could be happening is the number we see Jones sporting in 2024.

Recently, he made a statement on Twitter, letting fans know he is trying to change his number.

When the Patriots drafted him, he sported No. 34. Last season, before he got to the Patriots, he chose to change his number to 13. When he got to the Raiders, he wore No. 18. Now, he could be wearing a different number again.

In college, he wore Nos. 21 and 0. Currently, No. 0 is worn by Jakorian Bennett, and No. 13 is worn by Anthony Brown Jr.. So, it's really unclear what number he will change to, but he definitely wants to.
