Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence was at the butt end of a lot of criticism to end the 2023 season.
After an 8-3 start, the Jaguars lost five of their final six games and missed the playoffs. Lawrence threw seven interceptions in the final four games of the season while battling through a long list of injuries.
Regardless of circumstance, the collapse down the stretch, combined with the rise of C.J. Stroud and the Houston Texans made some weary of a potential decline for Lawrence. That said, head coach Doug Pederson made it clear he has full faith in his quarterback.
"He's our guy," Pederson said. "He's got the right demeanor, [he's] got the right leadership, and it's our job as coaches to make sure he takes that next step. This will be another big offseason for him and his development."
Lawrence finished the 2023 season with 21 touchdowns and 14 interceptions. His 88.5 passer rating ranked 21st in the NFL, and he finished 18th in QBR.
