The Jacksonville Jaguars have been busy negotiating and adjusting contracts recently. The Jaguars recently restructured linebacker Foye Oluokun’s contract to create nearly $10 million in cap for next season. They extended a running back over the weekend for two seasons.
Last week, the Jaguars extended backup quarterback C.J. Beathard to stabilize the quarterback’s room. They then extended defensive lineman Roy Robertson-Harris for three seasons, as he’s been an integral part of the defense. Now, the Jaguars will keep a part of their special teams.
According to Aaron Wilson with KPRC, the Jaguars extended running back JaMycal Hasty for two seasons. The extension is worth $3.2 million.
#Jaguars two-year, max value $3.2 million extension for running back JaMycal Hasty negotiated by Scott Casterline @ScottCasterline Hasty rusher for 194 yards, with 20 catches for 126 yards, four kickoff returns for 97 yards. @MycHasty @mmainiero34 @BUFootball @Jaguars

Hasty ran for 194 yards and two touchdowns last season. He returned four kicks for 97 yards during the 2022 season. Hasty was an undrafted free agent out of Baylor initially signed by the San Francisco 49ers in 2020. The Jaguars claimed Hasty off waivers in August of 2022. This is a nice reward for the undrafted running back.
