Is Jason Kelce's next stop the Pro Football Hall of Fame?

Philadelphia Eagles center Jason Kelce brought his 13-year NFL career to a close at an emotional retirement news conference Monday morning.

Kelce, who played his entire career with the Eagles, can now take his place among the greatest NFL offensive linemen of all time. He's almost certainly on his way to the Pro Football Hall of Fame in Canton, Ohio.

NFL players are eligible for the Hall of Fame five full seasons after their retirement, meaning Kelce will be eligible following the 2028 season for a possible 2029 induction.

"He gave (Philadelphia) everything he had," said NBC Sports Philadelphia's Michael Barkann following Monday's news conference. "He's been a hero on the field and off the field ... we'll remember forever the way Jason Kelce played the game."

Kelce was a sixth-round pick by the Eagles out of the University of Cincinnati in 2011 and went on to become a six-time NFL All-Pro and seven-time Pro Bowler. He helped lead the Eagles to the first Super Bowl win in franchise history following the 2017 season and his 156 consecutive starts are also a franchise record.

Only two full-time centers have been elected to the Pro Football Hall of Fame in their first year of eligibility: former Miami Dolphins and Minnesota Vikings center Jim Langer in 1987 and former Oakland Raiders center Jim Otto in 1980.

Kelce would be the second Eagles center elected to the Hall of Fame, following legendary center/linebacker Chuck Bednarik, one of the NFL's last two-way players. He was elected to the Hall of Fame in 1967.
