Insider reveals who will be Steelers' blindside blocker in 2023

The Steelers have addressed the interior of their offensive line, adding three starters during the last two free agency periods. But is Pittsburgh planning to roll out the same tackles in 2023?

Steelers insider Gerry Dulac believes that might be the case and says Dan Moore Jr. will be Pittsburgh's starting left tackle when the 2023 regular season begins.

"I don't think they are in panic mode about Dan Moore Jr. like the fans seem to be," Dulac said.

Moore Jr. was drafted by the Steelers in the fourth round of the 2021 NFL Draft. He was supposed to be a backup but has started every game of his career.

However, the 24-year-old did allow the seventh-most sacks in the league (7) in 2022, which is why many figured there would be at least a little panic.

So, is Pittsburgh comfortable enough at the position to not select a tackle in the first round of the 2023 NFL Draft?

Not so fast. Dulac said he still wouldn't be surprised if the Steelers did go tackle at No. 17.

Pittsburgh did claim to not be in panic mode at quarterback a year ago but still took QB Kenny Pickett when the opportunity presented itself. Maybe the Steelers are just playing some mind games.
