Hall of Famer Joe Montana admits Tom Brady is the greatest of all time

Tom Brady is the most accomplished quarterback in NFL history and is widely considered the greatest of all time. Even San Francisco 49ers legend and Hall of Famer Joe Montana believes Brady is the GOAT. 

Montana appeared on ESPN's "First Take" on Wednesday and was asked if Brady has replaced him as the greatest of all time. He had a simple response, according to TMZ Sports:

"Oh, I think Tom has taken his place on the top up there a long time ago," Montana said. "So, he's had a tremendous career, he's fun to watch, but if you look at what Tom's been able to accomplish in his time that he's played, I think it puts him definitely up there in the top of the list."

Brady won his seventh Super Bowl title with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He's also a five-time Super Bowl MVP, three-time NFL MVP and two-time Offensive Player of the year, among many other accolades.

To be fair, Montana had his fair share of success in the NFL, too. The Notre Dame product is a four-time Super Bowl champion, two-time NFL MVP and eight-time Pro Bowler. 

Still, Brady has separated himself from the rest. After defeating the Kansas City Chiefs in the Super Bowl, Brady's wife, Gisele Bundchen, asked him, "What more do you have to prove?" Apparently, the 43-year-old still thinks he has a lot left to prove. 

Brady said he's considering playing beyond age 45 and also admitted that he was thinking about winning his eighth championship after winning his seventh Super Bowl in 10 appearances.
