Giants' Joe Judge on Daniel Jones: 'You can see his improvement week to week'

The New York Giants are on a two-game winning streak after Sunday's 27-17 win over the Philadelphia Eagles. Quarterback Daniel Jones was solid in the win, throwing for 244 yards and rushing for a touchdown.

For the second straight week, Jones has not turned the ball over after doing so in each of New York's first eight games of the season en route to a 1-7 record. Following Sunday's win, head coach Joe Judge lauded his quarterback for his efforts over the past couple of weeks, saying that Jones always has been capable of making plays.

“We want to play aggressive with Daniel,” Judge said, according to Pro Football Talk's Josh Alper. “He’s done a heckuva job of making plays when we need it and making better decisions. He’s a young player who’s developing, he’s learning a lot every week. You can see his improvement week to week.”

With the Giants now entering their bye week after closing the gap in the NFC East, there will be fewer questions about Jones' capability to lead New York into the postseason.

Entering Sunday's contest, Jones had completed 62.4% of his passes for 1,878 yards and eight touchdowns against nine interceptions. As the weeks roll on, it seems the young quarterback has finally begun to turn things around.

Luckily for the Giants, they still have a very real shot at winning the NFC East with everyone in the division struggling.
