Former Steelers DT Nearly Saves Super Bowl

Two former Pittsburgh Steelers players won Super Bowl LVIII, but one on the San Francisco 49ers nearly saved the game for them. 

Former seventh-round pick Chris Oladokun and sixth-round pick Isaiah Buggs walked away champions this season, with Oladokun winning his second Super Bowl and Buggs winning his first. 

On the other side of the ball, though, former defensive tackle Javon Hargrave nearly saved the game for the 49ers more than once. The first came in the first quarter when he recovered a fumble, and the second in overtime, almost stopping the Chief's game-winning drive. 

After Christian McCaffrey fumbled on the 49ers' opening drive, Hagrave helped stop Kansas City from scoring by recovering Isaiah Pacheco's fumble in the redzone.

In overtime, he forced a 4th and 1 by grabbing Pacheco at the line of scrimmage for no gain. A play that nearly ended the game. 

The former Steeler ended the game with six tackles, one sack, one tackle for loss and a fumble recovery. San Francisco eventually fell to the Chiefs, but not because of a lack of production from Hargrave.
