Dolphins star provides major update amid injury scare

Miami Dolphins fans and fantasy football managers with Tyreek Hill can breathe easier after the All-Pro wide receiver missed practice on Wednesday with a hip injury.

"Nah, I just wanted a little attention, my mom wasn't talking to me yesterday," Joe Schad of the Palm Beach Post, recorded Hill saying at his locker when asked if he was in any pain Thursday afternoon.

"Yeah, baby, I'm good," he said when asked outright if he was playing on Sunday against New England.

With the rash of injuries that have hit the AFC East-leading Miami squad, Hill's availability could be even more important for quarterback Tua Tagovailoa, even against the lowly Patriots.

Running back De'Von Achane remains on injured reserve with a knee injury he suffered against the New York Giants. His backfield mate Raheem Mostert (ankle) and wide receiver Jaylen Waddle (back) were also both limited in practice Thursday.

Hill has been the best WR in the NFL through the first seven weeks of the NFL season. His 902 receiving yards are 93 more than the next closest (A.J. Brown), and he also leads the league in receiving touchdowns with seven.

Per NFL Next Gen Stats he's also posted three of the top 10 fastest plays carrying the ball, topping out at 22.01 mph on a 64-yard touchdown in Week 5.

With question marks surrounding many of the team's most explosive playmakers, Tagovailoa may need to lean on the Cheetah against Bill Belichick. Otherwise, Miami could follow in the footsteps of the Buffalo Bills by falling to the team that has become AFC East bottom-feeder for the first time in a generation.

With eight or more receptions in four of seven contests this season, Hill should be up to the challenge.
