David Bakhtiari thinks a player got snubbed

David Bakhtiari is something of an expert as an offensive lineman. Bakhtiari is a two-time first-team All-Pro. So he knows what it takes to earn that title. While injuries hampered his chances to win that crown this season, Bakhtiari did think another player who deserves the nomination got snubbed.

Baktiari took to Twitter to express his disappointment that three-time Pro Bowl offensive tackle Laremy Tunsil didn’t earn the All-Pro honor.

Tunsil had a great season on a bad team

Tunsil plays for the Houston Texans. The Texans with a 3-13-1 record this season. That’s probably why Tunsil was overlooked for the All-Pro nomination. Tunsil had a phenomenal season for the Texans. Pro Football Focus gave him an 80.0 overall grade for his performance this season. He earned a 91.3 grade for his pass blocking.

Tunsil had 676 pass-blocking snaps this season. He only gave up one sack and 17 total pressures during that time. That’s pretty impressive, given the Texans’ issues at quarterback this season. David Bakhtiari made a point that Tunsil deserved to be an All-Pro. Hopefully, he can get that honor in another season.
