Cowboys on shortlist of yet to sign a single outside free agent

On Monday, Tony Pollard signed with the Tennessee Titans, Dorance Armstrong was the first of many to sign with Dan Quinn and the Washington Commanders.

Tyler Biasasz joined Armstrong on Monday.

Dante Fowler, another former Cowboys defender signed with them on Tuesday.

I knew Fowler and Armstrong were probably on the way out to join Quinn, but did not see the others leaving.

Yet, it is now Wednesday morning, and the Dallas Cowboys are still one of the last remaining teams to not make a move on an outside free agent.

The only move this team has made is resigning long snapper Trent Sieg to a one-year, $1.292 million deal, with $1.152 million guaranteed.

What a joke.

Still Need Help

The Cowboys have lost five players who gave them significant time.

The best running back left on the market is J.K. Dobbins who can't stop getting hurt, and the linebacker market is starting to thin out also.

Every single team inside the NFC East has gotten better, one way or another, and Jerry Jones has not been heard from.

How can you claim to be “all-in,” and be one of the last teams to make a move?

At what point is losing before or after one playoff game enough? Regardless of what you think about Dak Prescott, it was this way before he got here also!

This team never makes any splash moves, and this team continues to draft mostly great players and waste their careers.

What To Expect Going Forward

I am even asking myself this question, the fact that I thought that maybe Jerry was finally tired of seeing all the same results. No, he's not.

He has money in his pockets, will still be able to talk on the radio whenever he wants, and will have folks talking about Dallas if they win or lose, he doesn't care, and it is sad.

Expect them to sign someone for a very low price if they do, and the player they sign will make absolutely no impact at all in 2024, but hey at least they did something for us all, right?

They will probably draft a running back in the second or third round and tell us to deal with it.

Jerry even has former Cowboys players laughing at him, take a look at the tweet below from former Cowboys defender Marcus Spears, it is true, though. It has become laughable that he has done nothing to make this team better.

This team has plenty of options to extent, and rework the deals they have on the team, yet they are making no effort to do it early enough to have a chance to sign a guy that can help them right now.

They can easily create over $50 million in cap space, and Jerry and the folks are just sitting back and who knows maybe they even want to tank.

So many good years and chances have been wasted because of these guys. I don't know why I expected anything different.
