Colts re-sign punter Rigoberto Sanchez
Robert Scheer/IndyStar / USA TODAY NETWORK

The Indianapolis Colts are keeping a vital part of their special teams unit.

By signing punter Rigoberto Sanchez to a new three-year deal.

Sanchez gets $7.5 million over three years to return to the Colts. Last season, Sanchez was returning from a torn achilles in 2022. Which caused him to start the season slow. But as the year went on, we saw the punter return to his old self, one of the best punters in the NFL.

With this move, the core of the Colts' special teams unit stays intact. They will enter 2024 with Sanchez back at punter and Matt Gay back at kicker. They are also hopeful that Ashton Dulin will make a full recovery from his torn ACL that he suffered during training camp and will again be the team's top gunner.
