Cleveland Browns Key Stats

The Cleveland Browns average 22.3 points per game, ranking 15th in the league in scoring. Cleveland ranks 31st in passing offense and second in rushing offense. They allow 19.2 points per game, which ranks tenth in the league. The Browns rank first in passing defense and seventh in rushing defense. They are 20th in total offense and first in total defense.

The Browns have a lengthy injury report as they have already placed Nick Chubb, Jack Conklin, Jakeem Grant Sr., and Jacob Phillips, among others, on injured reserve. Meanwhile, starting quarterback Deshaun Watson is questionable to suit up after leaving Cleveland’s 39-38 controversial victory over the Indianapolis Colts in the first quarter. Watson had missed the previous two games.  Jerome Ford is doubtful to play after suffering an ankle injury in the fourth quarter of the win. Sione Takitaki is likely to return after missing the Week 7 matchup.

Seattle Seahawks Key Stats

The Seattle Seahawks average 24.0 points per game, ranking 11th in the league in scoring. Seattle ranks 13th in passing offense and 20th in rushing offense. They allow 19.7 points per game, ranking 12th in the league. The Seahawks rank 21st in passing defense and sixth in rushing defense. They are 15th in total offense and 12th in total defense.

The Seahawks also have a lengthy injury report, and it grew on Monday as they announced that Uchenna Nwosu is out for the season. Meanwhile, Coby Bryant and Abraham Lucas, among others, have already been placed on injured reserve. D.K. Metcalf, Zach Charbonnet, Evan Brown, and Phil Haynes are all questionable to return after missing Seattle’s 20-10 Week 7 victory over the Arizona Cardinals.

Cleveland Browns vs. Seattle Seahawks Betting Prediction

The Cleveland Browns could be without star quarterback Deshaun Watson when they visit the Seattle Seahawks.  Cleveland’s backup quarterbacks have been less than impressive as they have combined to throw for 491 yards, zero touchdowns, and six interceptions while completing just 51.0% of their passes. Meanwhile, the status of Browns’ running back Jerome Ford is also up in the air, meaning that their offense could be very one-dimensional.

Meanwhile, the Seahawks should get star wide receiver D.K. Metcalf back from a one-game absence.  Between him, Tyler Lockett, and Kenneth Walker III, Seattle simply has too much offensive firepower for Cleveland to keep up with.  Look for the Seahawks to win by at least three points.

Pick: Seattle Seahawks -2.5 (-110)
