The Los Angeles Chargers continue to search for offensive help. They signed veteran wideout D.J. Chark last week, and they selected Ladd McConkey in round two of the 2024 NFL Draft.
Now, Jim Harbaugh has his eyes on a former division rival wide receiver for quarterback Justin Herbert.

Los Angeles has been seeking veteran wide receiver help in recent weeks and have targeted MVS, according to Ari Meirov. Valdes-Scantling has spent the past two years with the Kansas City Chiefs. He began his pro career with the Green Bay Packers.
Valdes-Scantling is a two-time Super Bowl champion. He's a downfield target that has a knack for getting behind the final layer of defenses. Justin Herbert would have another intriguing wideout if the two sides came to an agreement.

The Chargers currently have eleven receivers on their depth chart. They'll have plenty of players for a competition throughout camp and the preseason.
MVS would be an affordable, short-term option for the Chargers while they try to maximize talent around a tight cap space situation. We will see if they pick him up.
