Cardinals intend to sign former Seahawks RB DeeJay Dallas
Joe Camporeale-USA TODAY Sports

Following Monday where they strictly upgraded their defense, the Arizona Cardinals made their first offensive move of this year’s NFL Free Agency.

According to Bleacher Report NFL insider Jordan Schultz, he stated that running back DeeJay Dallas will be a Cardinal.

“Free agent RB DeeJay Dallas plans to sign with the Arizona Cardinals, sources tell Bleacher Report,” Schultz said. “The Former [Seattle] Seahawks’ special teams ace is only 25 years old and now finds a new home in Arizona.”

After three years (2017-19) of going to school at the University of Miami, Dallas forwent his final year of college eligibility and declared for the 2020 NFL Draft. He would be chosen as a fourth-round (144th overall) pick by the Seahawks.

From then until last season (2020-23), he has been in Seattle his whole NFL career before making this move to an NFC West rival.

Through 61 games, Dallas only started twice for the Seahawks. Overall, the Georgia native recorded 468 rushing yards from 112 carries, 864 scrimmage yards off of 173 touches and scored four touchdowns.

Now that he shifting over to the Desert, Dallas will join an Arizona running back core full of depth.

Cardinals star James Conner will presumably man the starting position while Dallas, Michael Carter, Tony Jones Jr. and Emari Demercado will all look to crack into the lineup throughout the 2024 season.
