Browns’ recent move shows they may be trying to give Deshaun Watson a certain kind of new weapon

Cleveland Browns are finishing up their NFL Draft preparation now less than two weeks out from it getting started.

Top 30 visits are coming and going left and right. The latest one to come to the surface for the Browns shows they may be looking to add a certain weapon to the offense.

According to Ryan Fowler from The Draft Network, the Browns have met with Iowa TE Erick All. Cleveland is among teams like the Miami Dolphins, Minnesota Vikings, Washington Commanders, and others to be showing interest.

What Erick All would provide to the Browns and Deshaun Watson

All was taking off as a fifth-year senior at Iowa before he suffered a season-ending injury after seven games. Though he was working into the mix with 2025 draft prospect Luke Lachey, All had nearly 300 yards and three touchdowns in his seven games with the Hawkeyes.

Prior to joining Iowa, All’s best season came in 2021 when he had 437 yards in 13 games with the Wolverines.

All is a tight end that can get downfield and make plays. The 6-foot-4 tight end has strong hands to pluck the ball out of the air away from defenders and finish strong in traffic.

With Njoku already a notable leader and red zone target, adding another pass-catching threat like the talent of All would be great news for Watson. The Browns want the passing offense to take off under Watson in 2024 and putting more tools around him will only help.

The Browns allowed Harrison Bryant to walk in free agency and could use another true tight end to add to the roster. Another player who can add value to the passion offense and be more than just a blocker should fit that mold. Cleveland is showing interest in All and he could be a guy that they target later in the draft.
