Brittany Mahomes convinces Post Malone to swap Cowboys jacket for Chiefs gear
Mark J. Rebilas-USA TODAY Sports

Artist Post Malone made his Super Bowl debut on Sunday by singing ‘American the Beautiful’ before kickoff between the Kansas City Chiefs and San Francisco 49ers but he would have prefered seeing his own Dallas Cowboys in the big game for the first time in his adult life. Cameras spotted him in his suite during the game rocking a Dallas Cowboys bomber jacket, which he donned after his performance down on the field.

Following the Chiefs’ victory in overtime, Patrick Mahomes‘ wife Brittany was able to convince Posty to discard his bright blue gear in favor of a red Kansas City jacket while he performed in a Las Vegas club. The Grammy-winning artist made it clear he would only wear the Chiefs coat for one song, but it was enough to satisfy the crowd of happy fans after their Super Bowl LVIII victory.

Post Malone is a 10-time Grammy nominee. The singer-rapper-songwriter released his fifth studio album “Austin” last year, which featured the song of the 2023 college football season, “Something Real.” His pre-game performance was followed by the national anthem, sung by country legend Reba McEntire.

McEntire, a three-time Grammy winner, has more than 30 studio albums and hits to her name, including “Fancy,” “Consider Me Gone” and “Does He Love You.” She joined the Country Music Hall of Fame in 2011 and even received a Kennedy Center honor in 2018. The former Broadway star also earned a Golden Globe nomination for her lead role on “Reba.” She released her latest album “Not That Fancy” last year, as well as a new book with the same title.

Brittany Mahomes makes SI Swimsuit debut

Sports Illustrated announced last week that Brittany Mahomes was making her debut in their 60th anniversary edition of the Swimsuit magazine. Brittany is one of SI’s Swimsuit Rookies of 2024.

Mahomes, a co-owner of the Kansas City Current of the NWSL and former UT-Tyler soccer player, did her photo shoot with Sports Illustrated in Belize with photographer Derek Kettela. The 28-year-old mother of two sizzles in multiple swimsuits, which all happen to be in Kansas City Chiefs red.

Mahomes, a certified trainer, opened up to the magazine about her wellness lifestyle. She also explained why she believes her platform aligns with the goals of SI Swimsuit.

“I think I align perfectly with SI Swimsuit’s vision because I am unapologetically always myself in any setting. I want women to feel empowered to always be yourself, love yourself, and feel confident in whatever you do and I think SI Swimsuit does, too,” she says. “Be confident in who you are and be unapologetically yourself. People are going to love you or hate you, but finding your values and what makes you ‘you’ to be the best version of yourself is what really matters.

“Whether that’s health and wellness, being a great wife or mom, or career goals, being the best version of you is the most important thing you can be.”
