The Buffalo Bills and Los Angeles Rams will kickoff the 2022 NFL regular season when they meet at SoFi Stadium on Thursday, Sept. 8.
The league announced the regular season kickoff matchup about two hours before the release of the full 2022 schedule.

The Rams are the defending NFL champs after beating the Cincinnati Bengals in Super Bowl LVI. With no Super Bowl rematch against the Bengals on the 2022 schedule, a matchup against the Bills is still a duel of two of the NFL's bests.
Buffalo finished the 2021 regular season with an 11-6 record, but lost in the Divisional Round of the playoffs to the Kansas City Chiefs. Both teams have tried to reload in the offseason with the Rams adding linebacker Bobby Wagner on defense and the Bills signing former Rams pass rusher Von Miller.
Also announced was the first Monday Night Football game of the year between the Seattle Seahawks and the Denver Broncos. Earlier in the offseason, the Broncos acquired nine-time Pro Bowl quarterback Russell Wilson in a blockbuster deal with the Seahawks.
