Bills' Von Miller carted off with knee injury

The Buffalo Bills got one key defensive starter back on Thursday and then lost another during their Thanksgiving Day game against the Detroit Lions.

Edge rusher Von Miller was carted off during the second quarter of Thursday's game and was immediately ruled out for the remainder of the game with a knee injury.

The injury itself did not look good, and the fact the Bills ruled him out so quickly is not promising.

There is some optimism though. NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reported that the early prognosis is a knee sprain, but a more severe injury is not being ruled out.

The Bills have been decimated by injuries this season on defense, especially in their secondary. Miller's injury happened on the same day star cornerback Tre'davious White was activated after missing the first 10 games of the regular season.

Miller was one of the Bills' big offseason additions and was brought in to help bolster their defense. He has done exactly that with eight sacks and a forced fumble entering play on Thursday.
