Bills Mafia may be entering the final weekend of July by holding their collective breath, as one of their star defenders suffered an apparent injury at training camp on Friday.
Bills S Micah Hyde limped off the field after an INT in team drills. He went to the sideline and then went back to the locker room on a cart.

According to Buscaglia, the Bills "often cart injured players to the locker room regardless of severity due to its distance from the practice field," so it's likely too early to panic in Western New York. The beat reporter further noted that since he joined the organization in 2017, Hyde has played the second most snaps of any defender on Buffalo's roster.
A former fifth-round pick out of Iowa, Hyde spent the first four years of his career with the Green Bay Packers, before signing a five-year, $30.5 million contract with the Bills in March 2017. Hyde was re-upped on a two-year, $19.25 million contract extension in March 2021.
In the early afternoon, Buscaglia had an update on Hyde's injury.
Bills S Micah Hyde suffered a hip/glute injury at today's practice and is still being evaluated. He went back to the locker room in the passenger seat of a golf cart.

LT Dion Dawkins was excused from practice for personal reasons.
The 31-year-old registered 74 tackles, 10 passes defended and matched his career-high with five interceptions during the 2021 campaign. Hyde also had two fumble recoveries and was named Second Team All-Pro for the second time in his career.
