Bills O-Lineman Helps Stranded Driver In Snow Storm

A postponed playoff game hasn't stopped Buffalo Bills offensive lineman Alec Anderson from getting some work in, though, in this instance, it wasn't on the field.

On Sunday, the Bills second-year player was seen helping a stranded driver in the middle of the snowstorm in Buffalo. Fellow Bills lineman Ryan Van Demark was with Anderson, and caught the good deed on camera and posted it on his Instagram.

"Good samaritan Alec helping the people," Van Demark said in the video.

The Bills were scheduled to play the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday at 1 p.m. ET at Highmark Stadium, but inclement weather caused the game to be postponed. New York Governor Kathy Hochul enforced a travel ban that begins at 9 p.m. on Saturday in Erie County, the one Buffalo is located in. While the game was rescheduled for 4:30 p.m. ET on Monday, there are still doubts that they'll even be able to play then due to the snowstorm.

The game being pushed back will have an effect in the next round for Buffalo if it wins. The Kansas City Chiefs, whom Buffalo would host if it wins on Monday, will have two more days of rest after playing on Saturday. The Chiefs beat the Miami Dolphins 26-7 at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium.

If the Steelers win, they'll face the No. 1 seed Baltimore Ravens, who have a bye for the first round.

Regardless, public safety remains the top priority. Once the game can be played in weather that's safe enough for fans to attend and not need a Bills offensive lineman to save them from a snowstorm, Buffalo will begin its playoff push in its Wild Card round matchup vs. Pittsburgh.
