Bills' Jordan Phillips rips Jason Kelce over key play following clash against Eagles

Jordan Phillips was not going to stay silent after Philadelphia Eagles center Jason Kelce had something to say following their Week 12 matchup . 

The Eagles looked to execute their infamous "tush push" play during that game, but Phillips jumped offsides, running straight through offensive lineman Cam Jurgens. 

Kelce was not a fan of that hit, sending a clear message to Phillips and the NFL. 

“I thought it was b******* at the time. I really did," Kelce said on the WIP Morning Show on Nov. 29. "I said so to the official on the field. I said, ‘I’ve been running that play a lot of years. I’ve seen people jump offsides. He made zero effort to stop after he jumped offsides.’ He purposely tried to hurt Cam Jurgens. I thought it should have been a personal foul and I think he should be fined for that play.”

“I thought that play, in particular, was an absolute disgrace that the NFL should not allow. I really do,” Kelce added. “And I don’t know Jordan Phillips. He might be the best guy in the world, but that, in my opinion, the NFL needs to do something about.”

Phillips was ultimately not fined for the play, and on Wednesday, he was finally given an opportunity to respond to what was said about him. 

"You look at the tush push; he dives at somebody's knees every play and tries to roll them up," Phillips said to WROC-TV. "So for him to speak on somebody being dirty, I don't think he has any right or any means to call for a fine when he does a whole bunch of stuff like (it). So I just think that's kind of crazy for him to even mention that."

"I'm 335 pounds - how am I going to stop regardless? How do I know the ball wasn't going? After I saw him move, I put my eyes on him and I’m gonna go. Even if they would’ve got the play off, it’s just either them hitting them or us hitting them.

So all in all, it's clear Phillips was not a fan of what was said. 

"You can dish it out obviously, but you can't take it. So that's just soft."

And he made sure to take aim at Kelce's popular podcast that he does with his brother Travis. 

"He is a well respected guy around the league for whatever reason, and now he suddenly has a voice because he's on his brother's podcast and whatnot, so he thinks he can use it," Phillips said. "But the way he's using his voice doesn't make any sense."

The matchup between the Bills and Eagles was one filled with tension and Phillips was involved in another incident. He got in the face of an Eagles fan, but later explained on Instagram that the fan threatened him and his family.
