Bills GM has funny comment about stacked AFC

The AFC — and particularly the AFC West — will enter the 2022 regular season stacked with talent. In fact, there is such an overwhelming abundance of talent in the AFC, Buffalo Bills general manager Brandon Beane jokingly says he’s in favor of realignment.

Beane’s comment may have been tongue-in-cheek, but the reality is that competition has gotten stiff. New AFC arrivals include Russell Wilson, Deshaun Watson, Amari Cooper, Davante Adams and Khalil Mack, to name just a few.

But it’s not as if the Bills have been blanked. As their competition grew in strength this offseason, so to did they by signing veteran edge rusher Von Miller. That’s a nice addition to a defense that will be heavily relied upon to combat the growing offensive arsenal within the conference.

Luckily enough for Beane and the Bills however, most of that firepower has been added outside of the AFC East. So while their quest to the Super Bowl certainly poses a challenge, their run to another division title may not be quite as daunting.
