Bills DT blasts 'crazy' accusation by Eagles' Jason Kelce

"For (Kelce) to speak on somebody being dirty, I don’t think he has any right or any means to call for a fine when he does a whole bunch of stuff. I think it’s crazy for him to even mention that," Phillips said, per RochesterFirst.com. "I’m 335lbs how am I going to stop regardless? ... How do I know that the ball wasn’t going? After I saw the ball move I put my eyes on him and I’m going to go."

In the first quarter of Philadelphia's 37-34 overtime win against Buffalo in Week 12, Phillips jumped offside on a brotherly shove/tush push/quarterback sneak attempt and knocked Eagles offensive lineman Cam Jurgens to the ground. 

During an appearance on the "WIP Morning Show" last Wednesday, Kelce said among other things: "I thought it was bull s--t at the time. ... (Phillips) purposely tried to hurt Cam Jurgens. ... I think he should be fined for that play."

The Bills defender wasn't flagged on the play and wasn't issued a fine.

Phillips wasn't done blasting the six-time Pro Bowler, saying that Kelce was a "well-respected guy around the league for whatever reason." He also criticized the 2011 draft pick for using his "New Heights" podcast with younger brother (and Kansas City Chiefs tight end) Travis Kelce as a platform to discuss certain topics.

"Now he suddenly has a voice because he’s on his brother’s podcast and he thinks he can use it. But the way he’s using his voice doesn’t make any sense," Phillips said.

The dispute with Kelce wasn't the only controversy to come out of the late-November contest for the Oklahoma product.

Phillips and fellow defensive tackle Ed Oliver, as well as defensive ends Shaq Lawson and Gregory Rousseau, were caught on camera chirping with a fan dressed in green sitting behind the Bills sideline, and Lawson appeared to shove the person during the exchange.
