Bill Belichick’s next career step should allow him to right major wrong

But it gives him a platform that "The Dynasty" documentary did not. 

Apple TV's show painted the coach in a very bad light, using him as the scapegoat for any problems the team faced. Many described it as a hit job on Belichick. 

And considering that Belichick normally isn't willing to reflect on the past, especially when it comes to controversial moments, the clips that they used of him did more damage. 

Now listen, when it comes to Belichick, he could just write a full book on his knowledge of the game of football. Or even about leadership. It might have nothing to do with his 24 year tenure as head coach of the Patriots. 

But given all that happened and all the success he's had, there's bound to be at least one mention. 

And the coach deserves the chance to speak. 

He led New England to six Super Bowl championships, cementing himself as the greatest coach of all time. But the last few seasons, including his exit from the Patriots did not reflect that at all. 

Many of the players came to his defense regarding the series, voicing their disappointment over it. Specifically, Matthew Slater spoke about it on MassLive's The Eye on Foxborough podcast. 

"I think (The Dynasty) portrayed Coach (Belichick) in a way that was very unfair," Slater said. "It’s unfortunate because I spent two days interviewing, and I said more positive things about Bill than I could imagine. Of course, they didn’t use any of that."
