Bengals could face three different Ravens starting QBs this season

With Lamar Jackson officially ruled out for Sunday's playoff game for the Baltimore Ravens, it creates the opportunity for the Ravens and Cincinnati Bengals to make some odd history.

Not only is it going to be the third matchup of the season between the AFC North rivals, it could also involve the third different starting quarterback for the Ravens if backup Tyler Huntley gets the start.

The Ravens have yet to officially name a starter for Sunday night's game, but it will be either Huntley or third-strong quarterback Anthony Brown. Brown started the Week 18 Game (A 27-16 Bengals win), while Jackson started the Week 5 matchup (which Baltimore win 19-17).

A team using three different starters against a single opponent in the same season has happened just one time in NFL history, and you have to go all the way back to 1990 when Washington used Jeff Rutledge, Stan Humphries, and Mark Rypien in their three meetings with the Philadelphia Eagles.

Jackson has not played or practiced since early December when he suffered a sprained PCL against the Denver Broncos. Baltimore originally believed that the injury would not be season-ending, but Jackson has yet to even come close to returning and the Ravens' season would be over on Sunday night with a loss.

Baltimore's offense has been awful in Jackson's absence, averaging just 12.5 points per game over the past six weeks, including the game Jackson was injured.

In the five games Jackson has not started the Ravens are 2-3, while they are only 3-8 without Jackson dating back to last season.

Even so, the Ravens have to be hopeful that Huntley can play because he gives them a way better opportunity than Brown does. Brown has completed 22 of 49 passes in his limited play this season for 302 yards, zero touchdowns, and two interceptions.

That will not cut it in a playoff game against Joe Burrow and the Bengals.
