Bears head coach Matt Eberflus draws hilarious comparison for his new look heading into Year 3
Kirby Lee-USA TODAY Sports

When Chicago Bears head coach Matt Eberflus made his first public appearance of the offseason ahead of the NFL Scouting Combine, he debuted a new look that took social media by storm.

The "bearded Flus" look has remained following the 2024 NFL Draft and it seems like the new style is here to stay for the team's head coach.

Eberflus definitely pulls off the style that has given him a new aura heading into Year 3 of his head coaching career and has seemingly given him a new energy to match the new energy building in the locker room.

The new look is a major upgrade for him and of course has been met with some hilarious responses and comparisons. While on the "Up and Adams Show" with Kay Adams, he finally got the chance to react to some of the reactions of his new style.

Eberflus was jokingly presented with a very flattering comparison to Hollywood actor George Clooney that many people have been sharing all throughout social media since he debuted the beard back in February.

"It was really my wife's idea to grow it out, so I did it as a favor to her," Eberflus jokingly said. "I don't look like George Clooney, I got a face for radio as they say."

Since rocking the new style, players and members of the Bears' organization have even come out in support of the "new Eberflus" including the team's top executive.

"He's got the style going on," Bears general manager Ryan Poles said a few days back on Chicago's ESPN AM-1000 with Tom Waddle and Mark Silverman. "I love it. He's a new man."

If the new look brings a new sense of energy and confidence to the team's coach it will definitely be worth it. Since taking over as the Bears' head coach, Eberflus has compiled a 10-24 record in two years and is hoping to put together a successful season with his new overhauled roster in 2024.
