Bears middle linebacker Tremaine Edmunds is active to play against the Detroit Lions.

It's somewhat of a surprise because Edmunds was questionable, but mainly because he never went through a full practice during the week. Also, he has a knee injury and he's playing the game at Ford Field on artificial turf.

Edmunds has been inactive since injuring his knee on Oct. 29 at Los Angeles against the Chargers.

As a result, linebacker Micah Baskerville is inactive after being brought up through standard elevation from the practice squad on Saturday.

Also inactive for the Bears are wide receiver Velus Jones Jr., quarterback Nathan Peterman, linebacker Noah Sewell, guard Ja'Tyre Carter and safety Quindell Johnson.

The inactives for the Lions are defensive tackle Isaiah Buggs, cornerback Steven Gilmore, wide receiver Antoine Green, guard Jonah Jackson, defensive lineman Brodric Martin, linebacker Trevor Nowaske and defensive lineman Levi Onwuzurike.

Jackson is a starter replacing another injured starter, so the Lions offensive line is being stretched somewhat in the game.
