The Chicago Bears quarterback depth chart is back at full strength. The team also added several depth players to the practice squad as part of Thursday’s roster moves. The Bears removed Andy Dalton from the Reserve/COVID-19 list. Dalton went on the Reserve/COVID-19 list last Friday, just before the Bears hosted the Minnesota Vikings on Monday Night Football.
The Bears announced more good news as DE Mario Edwards Jr. is off the Reserve/COVID-19 list as well. The Bears initially added Edwards Jr. to the Reserve/COVID-19 list on December 13. He spent the full 10-day minimum away from the team and will now rejoin them ahead of Sunday’s game against the Seattle Seahawks.
The Chicago Bears also signed two linebackers to the practice squad. Ledarius Mack and Sam Kamara are back on the Bears’ practice squad after a tumultuous year of being activated and released.

We have removed QB Andy Dalton and DE Mario Edwards Jr. from Reserve/COVID-19. We also have signed LB Sam Kamara to the active roster and LB Ledarius Mack to the practice squad.
Mack has only appeared in two games for the Bears so far in his career. He played 20 snaps on defense and 10 on special teams while only recording two assisted tackles.
Sam Kamara has appeared in five games for the Bears this year and played in a total of 126 snaps. In 73 snaps on defense and 53 snaps on special teams, Kamara recorded five total tackles and one was an assisted tackle.
The Chicago Bears take on the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday, Dec. 26 in the 3 o’clock time slot. They get Andy Dalton back from the COVID list and he will likely back up Justin Fields. Getting Mario Edwards Jr. back is also a big boost for a Chicago defense that has been ravaged by illness, injury, and COVID-19.
