After signing with Eagles, Ndamukong Suh reveals what keeps him playing

A five-time Pro Bowler and a Super Bowl Champion, Ndamukong Suh has already put together an impressive career resume. However, the 35-year-old signed on for a 13th NFL season, joining the Philadelphia Eagles on Thursday. 

Upon his arrival in Philadelphia on Friday, Suh revealed to the media what motivates him to keep playing. 

"Championships is what keeps me going," Suh said via The Athletic's Zach Berman. "I have an opportunity to play for one with a team that's done an amazing job thus far. I feel I can come and help. But I first have to get acclimated and go from there."

It shouldn't take long for Suh to adjust to the Eagles' system, but it is still uncertain when he'll make his debut for the team. And head coach Nick Sirianni isn't showing his hand, as he told the media on Friday. 

"We don't have to give any information on if he'll start this week, if he'll play this week," Sirianni said per NBC Sports Philly's Dave Zangaro. "Probably not getting that from me. One, there's a little bit of an unknown. Two, I don't want the Colts to know anything." 

Last season for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Suh was still impactful, posting six sacks, 27 tackles (seven for loss), and 13 QB hits while playing 63 percent of the defensive snaps. 

Suh isn't the only new face along the Eagles' defensive line, as they also agreed to terms with two-time Pro Bowler Linval Joseph this week. 

With DE Derek Barnett out for the year with a torn ACL, and rookie Jordan Davis (ankle) not expected to return from injured reserve until Week 13, the Eagles hope Suh and Joseph can add some stability to the line. Monday against the Washington Commanders, the Eagles gave up 152 yards and two scores on the ground and struggled to produce a consistent pass rush, leading to their first loss of the 2022 campaign.
